Robert Storm Petersen (1882-1949) was a Danish cartoonist, author and humorist, known by his pen name, "Storm P". He started his career as a cartoonist in 1901 at the age of 19, and soon gained a reputation for his satirical and humorous illustrations and comic strips.
Storm P's most famous creation was a character named "The Little Man" (Den Lille Mand), who was a symbol of the common man and represented the struggles and challenges of everyday life. The Little Man appeared in many of Storm P's cartoons, often struggling against authority figures, bureaucracy and social norms.
Aside from his work as a cartoonist, Storm P was also an accomplished writer and poet, and published several books of humorous essays and poetry. His work was widely popular in Denmark and beyond, and he was one of the most important voices in Danish humor and satire during the first half of the 20th century. Today, he is remembered as one of Denmark's most beloved cultural icons, and his work is still widely enjoyed and celebrated.
